We will be putting the flags out at the gravesites on Thursday, May 24th at 1:00PM and we are always looking for volunteers to help out.
If you would like to help please report to our maintenance building for 1:00PM. This event is rain or shine.
We plan to pick up the flags on Monday, June 4th at 1:00PM (weather permitting) and are again hoping for volunteers to help. This is very weather dependent so please call first at 796-2026.
We may be looking ahead to the predicted weather for the weekend before June 4th. If rain is predicted we may be picking up the flags May 31st OR June 1st. We will try to put out another NEWS ITEM to let you know as soon as possible if this may happen.
We're sorry for the confusion but the flags cannot be put away wet, so we are trying to work around this.

The Blue Star Mothers of New Hampshire are again sponsoring the placing of wreaths on graves in designated sections of the cemetery. Due to the large number of graves, each year only a portion of the Cemetery is identified to have wreaths placed by this program.
This year wreaths will be placed on the graves in Section 5, Section 6, Section 43, and Section 44.
The wreaths will be placed on Saturday, December 16th beginning at 10:30am.
For more information, go to their website: http://www.bluestarmothersofnh.org/Wreaths.html
Due to the recent weather we will now plan to pick up flags on Wednesday, November 15th at 1:00PM.
Feel free to give us a call before heading out to make sure it is still happening Wednesday, 796-2026, and thank you for your help!
The New Hampshire Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and staff of the State Veterans Cemetery cordially invites you to attend Veterans Day Ceremony commencing at 11:00AM, Saturday November 11th at 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303

PLEASE plan to arrive about 10:30 to avoid traffic back-up and time to park and walk.
In observance of the July 4th holiday the Administration office of the NHSVC will be closed and there will be no scheduled interments on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. The Grave Locator, cemetery grounds and public restrooms will be open to the public during the daylight hours.
We took advantage of the dry afternoon yesterday (Friday, 6/2) and took the flags off the graves while they were dry. (The planned event to do that on Thursday didn't happen due to a shower right at 1pm.)
HOWEVER, we still have lots of work and can use help of volunteers to help us go through to check and bundle the flags for storage. So Tuesday, June 6th @ 1pm we willl be working inside the Maintenance Building doing that. Anyone who can come help us, we'd love the help.
Any questions, please call the Cemetery office. 603-796-2026
